Close the Cloud Skills Gap.

IT leaders are struggling to acquire the right talent that can help support their cloud initiatives, and high demand means there's market competition for cloud-skilled professionals.

Leverage certifications to sustain learning.

As today’s new technologies become tomorrow’s baseline services, businesses using certifications can standardize knowledge and avoid leaving members of their workforce behind. Teaching foundational cloud skills to our future leaders can help address an increasing need for proficiency with new technologies.

What is Cloud Computing?

Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.  In the past, people would run applications or programs from software downloaded on a physical computer or server in their building, cloud computing allows people access to the same kinds of applications through the internet.
When you update your Facebook status, you’re using cloud computing. Checking your bank balance on your phone? You’re in the cloud again. Chances are you rely on cloud computing to solve the challenges faced by small businesses, whether you’re firing off emails on the move or using a bunch of apps to help you manage your workload.

Staying competitive by investing in cloud skills.

As more and more companies embrace migration to the cloud, some wonder if their current IT employee base is holding them back from realizing its full potential. However, having this gap is not an insurmountable problem. Your employees already have invaluable knowledge about the company, products, and technology employees tend to be fast, flexible, and eager learners. The real question is how to take advantage of your employee’s wealth of knowledge as company insiders by helping them leverage their existing technical skills to learn the critical new ones.

High demand means there’s market competition for cloud-skilled IT professionals.
